I am April Zay, founder and owner of Hummingbird Arts. Welcome to my online art studio! I am so excited that you found me. 

My passion for art began at three years old. I Graduated  from the Fashion Institute Technology of with a BFA in Illustration, My professional career started in packaging design working in the housewares industry.

I started Hummingbird Arts in 2006 as a way to reconnect with my love of creating art and teaching. I provide personalized art and art education. In addition to being a teaching artist, I create fine jewelry, painting and continue to do graphic design work.
